National Council of Jewish Women - Vancouver has a local chapter, a National and International Office. The international office is proud to have consultative status as a non-governmental organization (NGO) with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations and maintains permanent delegations in New York, Geneva, Vienna, and Paris.
We are looking for a person who has a passion for International Human rights and a passion for the issues that improve the lives of vulnerable women and children. This person would be interested in a volunteer nonprofit leadership opportunity that provides experience, mentorship, and leadership in:
Local initiatives that support women and children\
To be mentored by 2 very experienced leadership coaches (perhaps in a co-president position)
To learn about the full cycle of running a nonprofit
To learn about managing a Non Profit including CRM's, Communications, Developing Fundraising Campaigns Leadership, and Legal Responsibilities.
Developing programs that encourage women to participate
Grant Writing
Community Relationship Building
Interested in Jewish and Non-Jewish projects
The time commitment is about 4 -6 hours a month.
